Greetings to YOU!
It's time to start peeking out of the slow down that is pruning and changing everything and start to engage with the new year and all the it holds for you.
I've let myself ease into the New Year, purposefully being slow to lean on my fire and learning to call in more water and Earth. Slow to rely on the Gregorian calendar, and opening to the Elemental space of the new moon later this month (and wondering what it would be like if we set our new year on the Spring, but one step at a time—right? Be in the both and. The collective and the personal).
I recently heard someone say that they relied on fire their whole life, but in their older age they realized that they needed to also also ask how much reciprocal water they'd need to replenish.
That landed for me.
Not in a slow down way, but I a balanced, here for all of it kind of way. Actually if I am truly honest, it spoke to my new fascination about balancing polarity and being attuned with how to create from a larger place within that is more rooted in purpose.
You might have read that I had some time to reflect over the holiday, so when others went out, I was more aligned with the spiral of going inward. What I found was some outdated beliefs and concepts that needed to be re-moved so I could re-lax (open) to what I wanted to create.
I wrote some amazing journal entries and reflections, and I realized: I need a container to rehabituate my mind. I cannot rely on a wish or a want, I need to bring it into form. The next day an opportunity popped up, and I am committed to a 30 day meditation practice to anchor in possibility. Clarity creates space for possibility.
We need a space to anchor in inspiration. Inspiration is -- the breath, the Creative. It can be quickly thwarted by desperation, similiar root words, but a polarity in concept.
One creates solutions, the other blocks them. De -- is down. The other half of the word has many roots that span the meaning of prosperity, success and speed. So if we strip it down, it looks like desperation slows down the speed of what you are wanting to create.
One of the most profound moments this year happened within Sit & Write, as the writers were asked to envision there book completed in the hands of someone who was waiting to read it.
The glow that came to the writers' faces. The clarity that came through their eyes as they read aloud from their journals why their book was being born, and how they were the ones to write it was pure magic.
The pulse of the room changed—and we were online—because that is the power of Resonance and being aligned with what is calling you. I left that community call in awe and inspired to put that clarity into practice. Because those moments are not static. In fact, they beckon us onward. So I offer this to you, to lean into your inspiration and allow your faith to grow and subdue your desperation because this is a year that is waiting for you to feel miraculous.
If you were curious about Sit & Write, this is the time to schedule a free connection call with me to see if we are a right fit. My colleague Claudine and I are so excited about this class (and future classes that will help authors evolve to become Seen and Sold). In transparency, this class may be offered only once a year. so let's chat if you are on the fence.
My best to you this year my very biggest prayers To the power of the Word and Collective Intention to create a world for our children to thrive in,
Thanks for being here,
Kate
