Outer forces cannot create the inner space our being needs to grow. - Rudolf Steiner
There’s a lot for me in that sentence. It can almost make the mind quibble at its own power. So let’s borrow an idea to put this into practice.
Paige Chapman recently shared:
“I once heard a wise elder talk about going on ‘awe rants’. Meaning, you bring your attention to something that sparks joy and you rant about how amazing it is.”
Let’s try it today, Wednesday the day of communication. Let your gaze embrace something that you enjoy and talk like you just won it, or traffic was great, or someone bought your chai latte.
Get some energy behind it. Go off, get your body moving, emphatic arms flailing about how awesome that cactus plant, cat swishing tail, smile of a friend, sentence in a book is…
I do this with my dog all the time. It goes like this: “Look at you! Who is the most beautiful girl? Look at those paws and shiny fur. That beautiful shiny girl. We love you so much. You are perfect, girlie.
”
Feel free to take this rant with you and sub out “paws with shiny fur” for “smile and shiny eyes” and read it to yourself in the bathroom.
Let’s create some raucous joy today on the eve on a most potent new moon and til the soil of our hearts to plant new seeds.
