I rather like having a juxtaposition of posts that read: You already know & Be curious because it is like laying two keys to the Universe right next to each other.
The true is we already know, and yet there is so much to learn. If we stay curious, it turns out it is a bit easier for the magic of life and love to find us. You remember how I wrote about Ted Lasso, and his sage wisdom to be curious over judgmental? Well, Loni Harmon, a licensed clinical social worker, has been working with singles and dating for 14 years and she offers the same sort of candid and curious approach.
You want to know why I had her on the show? I talk about it a bit in the episode: She is a delightful and kind human. I met Loni in a course building group. Loni consistently chose to be helpful, honest, and funny. Also as a mom, she was authentic with her kids sometimes on screen and honest about where she was in the day and in her process. From the class, I started watching her and her husband’s reels, the one where they go into a Dollar Store to find presents for each other is my favorite. With this Rebirth Season’s focus on educate and elevate, I wanted to interview someone I trusted on building loving relationships because she walks her talk while helping others do the same.
The more waves of information crash upon us, the more I see a need for discernment. Discernment in where you place your money, but also in where you place your attention, and your heart. It is much more precious than many of us were taught. I say that to remind you, as Loni says, find the love you deserve. “You get to have that,”she says with true Utah warmth and I believe her.
“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

Whether you are looking for a partner or not, this episode is a fabulous story on a life path being the alchemy to craft. Spoiler: She was an unmarried Mormon at 23 and engaged within six weeks of meeting a man, and then….well, you’ll have to listen to find out…Learn more about Loni here and her upcoming Modern dating class here.
Remember, the reason being curious is so helpful in life—is that in leaves space for that which you already know to find you.
Thanks for being here.
It’s all love,
Kate
