Astrology, Brilliance and Breaking Limitations
Recently, I jumped into a 30 day meditation challenge with Guru Singh which has been what it promised—miraculous.
If you are new here, I’m not talking about side-stepping or bypassing. This is space where we understand that things take as much work as needed for us to come closer to the truth of who we are—that could be lifetimes, years, or seconds.
I am currently unearthing for myself how it doesn't not have to be as difficult or as arduous, or as good friend once told me, “Life hands you enough problems you don’t need to add more sandpaper.”
That said, something I had been working on for my son came to fruition within 48 hours of starting the meditation practice. Do I think it was related? Yes, because the commitment to leaning into a new perspective and doing practices that relaxed my mind and opened up my belief made me available to follow a whisper that led to a solution. Yay.
Only day 2! So, of course after my joy and relief I turned to what I was assuredly working on for myself. I had all my ducks lined up, actually it should have been no problem and whammy a bolt of lightening, a sideswipe moment arose instead.
This article is not to focus on the sideswipe, but how it delivered its own miracle which I did not see at first.
Here is where the meditation and life’s synchronicities were helping me while I was rebounding from the sideswipe. The meditation class was explaining the difference in the alpha and the beta brain waves with a visual of how close the impulses were between them, and that when we are functioning in this brainspace we are in a linear reality, of there is limited solutions, and yet this is simply not true, both esoterically and scientifically. In fact there are infinite opportunities around us, filtered by our preferences and our stories and we cannot see other opportunities when we don’t allow the possibility.
Guru Singh went on to explain that in meditation we can access the theta state (and if you clicked on the link you’ll see) and from there there is space. In space there is possibility. I realized two things: instead of contracting I could create space. Secondly, and for me slightly more difficult, I could follow the feelings that arose in the space.
I did.
And the more I did, the more I unearthed.
The more I unearthed, the more I realized the limiting beliefs that were ensnaring what I was calling and keeping them from fruition.
It’s not something I understood; it’s something I felt.
It’s something I noticed. The more I unpacked, I slowly started to see my breath capacity changing. I was shocked. I know this is what I teach, this is what I do with clients in one on one work, yet we are all human and we can be surprised by our own universe.
Why am I writing this?
Well, let me tell you. The astrology this weekend was about lightening bolts and shocks. Rapid actions of clearing. And an astrologer I trust mentioned, “If you are feeling like life is doing this to you, it may be more about your own story than what is happening because these are alignments of benevolent clearing.”
Sidenote: Benevolent clearing I have come to learn is life’s code for: this may not be easy, but if you let go and flow with what is being presented, it’ll get better.
I picked up that phrase and decided to make it true. I named this incident, benevolent clearing. I was getting dressed this morning making some decisions on the day and I asked for a sign that I was aligned in what was I moving forward with.
A few minutes later, I heard my son start singing the Phillies song in the kitchen. He had been working on a construction picture when the song came on his playlist. I heard him start belting out: “I keep dancing on my own.”
I heard his chair push back and he broke into his own dance party at 7:45 am and I could hear his feet dancing and his heart singing and I knew I had all I needed to keep dancing. Go ahead and click play, push the chair back and let yourself move. This is your life and you are here to enjoy it. We cannot control what waves are coming, but we can lean towards stories that are benevolent because when it is all said and done, this is the book of our life, and we get to write it.
Give it your all and…
Keep dancing,
Kate
