I scribbled this down recently in the midst of a part meditation, part automatic journaling, part morning coffee on the back porch moment. When it arrived on the page, I kinda, “Huh,” and left it at that after making sure to scribble it again in my planner: Allow in the Good.
It wasn’t a sentence to toss away.
I breathed into it and went about my day, then week and such but it lingered. It definitely lingered.
In our most recent Q + I, I was talking with wildly talented and wondrous human, MP about her work of helping others through transitional moments to re-inhabit their bodies and their lives, and specifically her yoga nidra offerings (you can try out her nidra here, a precious gift). We were talking about how there is so much going on right now that it can almost stop us from doing the little things. Like, how could a slow walk outside halt a global problem? So why bother our minds could tell us on a down day?
Well, not taking the time for a walk will definitely collapse the universe you have control over: your own. If that walk brings you joy and beauty, health and vitality, it makes a good difference. Let it. The big things move through small things.
On an upcoming podcast with Heidi Garis, an energetic healer and Success Coach who helps clients uplevel through empowerment, she mentioned that when she was feeling exhausted and dehydrated after shepherding her daughter through a difficult time, she tuned in to whether she should push through the exhaustion or rest into it, and for how long? Her meditation practice revealed that the best thing she could do is to cultivate joy. That joy was an alchemical process and it indeed helped revitalize her. That answer was not linear, yet it worked. Create and allow the good, and watch change unfold.
We may be asking and seeking change, but are we allowing it?
We may be pleading for big shifts and changes, but are we sweeping the temple floor and readying the space as if the honored Guest, the changes you are calling are an undeniable fact, and you are merely now graciously readying your Self, or your home?
I don’t think we answer this question once, I think this is a space we return to as we grow.
I don’t think we do this alone. I think we gather together to better align ourselves and refine our discernment so we know when it is a time to be in the glow of only our own essence, or it is time to collaborate in growth.
I do know that when we bend toward life’s nectar there is sweetness waiting.
When was the last time a message arrived and you let it settle into your sphere and then, all the sudden the idea began to bloom like a field of wildflowers? Did you make space for the wild beauty and let it in? How about right now? Are you ready to Allow the Good?
Let me know, I wanna hear it all.
xx,
Kate
